A Carlisle supermarket could extend its opening hours.
Lidl, on the city's Madford Retail Park, off Charlotte Street has submitted an application to open from 7am until 11pm, Monday to Saturday, including bank holidays.
However its current opening hours of 10am until 4pm on Sundays would remain.
The store is currently open to customers from 8am until 9pm Monday to Saturday.
When planning permission for the store was first granted, a condition that deliveries must take place between 6.30am and 9.30pm was also put in place.
However Lidl has also asked for delivery hours to be unrestricted as part of the application.
A noise assessment submitted with the application says that there will be little impact in extending the delivery hours.
It concludes: "The noise assessment indicates that store operations, if proposed store opening hours were extended to 0700 to 2300 hours, are likely to be imperceptible at nearby sensitive receptors and would have no significant effect on the existing noise environment."
