A 10-year-old girl was taken to a specialist hospital after being struck by a van in west Cumbria.
The youngster was injured during the incident in Victory Crescent, Maryport, and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The Ford Transit van was driven by a 32-year-old who was unharmed.
Police were called to the scene just before 8pm yesterday.
