The driver of a Range Rover was shocked after a man overtaking her in an Audi verbally abused her.
The 42-year-old woman was driving a blue Range Rover west on Annan Road near to The Graham Arms in Eastriggs when the incident happened.
A man driving a black Audi A4 started to overtake her but stopped alongside. Both drivers lowered their windows at which point the man is alleged to have verbally abused the woman before driving off.
The woman was left in a shocked state after the incident.
Police Scotland is seeking witnesses to an incident which happened at about 8.05pm on Sunday, February 19.
Sergeant Julie Kelly at Annan said: "We want to identify the driver of the black coloured Audi A4 car, which was involved in this incident.
"He is described as being male, in his mid to late 20s, short dark hair, stocky/muscular build, wearing a white coloured t-shirt.
"We are also seeking witnesses to this incident and would ask anyone with any information to call us at Annan on 101."
