Emergency services spent almost three hours tackling a blaze where 500 tonnes of wood bark was on fire.
Fire crews from Longtown and Carlisle East were sent out shortly before 6am this morning to a premises on the outskirts of Longtown.
The fire happened at the former R J Murray & Son Ltd trucking depot, now believed to be owned by Border Barriers.
They spent about two hours and 50 minutes on site.
Firefighters used one hose reel jet to bring the fire under control.
