A TEENAGER who had become trapped on the roof of his home in Carlisle had to be rescued by firefighters.
Two crews, from Carlisle East and West fire stations, were called out to the property in Lund Crescent, Currock, at about 5.40pm last night (THURS) .
A triple extension ladder was used to rescue the teenager who had gone out on to the roof to find a set of keys but become trapped when it started to rain.
Crew manager Anthony Rooney, of Carlisle West Fire Station, said they were at the scene for 15 minutes.
"I don't know how it happened but he'd lost some keys on the kitchen roof of his house and he'd gone up," he said.
"It started to rain and the roof tiles became really slippy and he couldn't get back down."
