Cumbria police are appealing for witnesses
A car was damaged by an axe or similar instrument while it was parked in Carlisle.
Police say the car was "attacked" by an axe or similar object on Tuesday, January 17, while it was parked on Irthing Street, St Aidans.
The offender then fled the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 2501 Rees at Carlisle police station on 101.
