Two men have been warned to expect jail sentences after they admitted a violent house break-in at Workington.
Peter Lowrey, 24, and Colin Thompson, 37, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court via a video link from prison.
During a short hearing before Judge Peter Davies, the pair each pleaded guilty to one count of burglary.
They broke into a house in at Fisher Street on May 21 with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.
Judge Davies adjourned the case until June 30 when Lowrey, of Winifred Street, and Thompson, of Harcourt Street, both Workington, are due to be sentenced.
They were remanded in custody in the meantime and were told by the judge to expect prison sentences.
