Former Pop Idol to perform in Carlisle

Former Pop Idol Gareth Gates will perform in Carlisle next month.
Gareth will visit the city’s Outrageous bar on Friday, April 20.
In 2002, on the show Pop Idol, he lost out to fellow crooner Will Young but has gone on to have a successful career.
In the UK alone Gareth sold 3.5 million records, released three albums and had four UK number one singles. He won record of the year in 2002 with Unchained Melody.
On May 5, Spanish singer Ruth Lorenzo, who came fifth on The X Factor in 2008, will perform at Outrageous. Ruth appeared at Carlisle Racecourse in 2009.
