Elderly woman suffers head injury

AN ELDERLY woman suffered a head injury after a fall in Cockermouth.

The woman, 80, fell outside the Brown Cow pub, on Main Street, Cockermouth and hit her head on the pavement.
An ambulance attended just after 3.30pm to transfer the woman to hospital, but it is not clear how serious the injury was.
Main Street remained open to traffic while five paramedics attended the incident.
