Cumbrian teenager attacked while walking home

A teenager was viciously assaulted in a terrifying attack as he walked home from a night out.

The 19-year-old was grabbed from behind by a man on a white bike as he walked home along the Papcastle Road from Cockermouth between 2.30am and 3pm on Saturday.

The teenager suffered a split nose when he was headbutted. He tried to escape but was caught again by his attacker who demanded money and threatened to stab him.

The teenager said he had no money and ran off.

Anyone with information about the crime can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
