Cumbrian man denies wounding charge

A man from Whitehaven has denied wounding a woman in a knife attack with intent to cause her grievous bodily harm.

Rhys Paul Mason, 23, of Peter Street, is accused of attacking Rebecca Clement on February 8.

He was remanded in custody by Carlisle Crown Court to stand trial in July.
