Carlisle police probe possible assault on man

Police are trying to find out how a man suffered serious injuries.

They were called at around 4.45pm yesterday to a caravan at Ladysteps, Scotby, near Carlisle, where they found the 28-year-old.

Acting detective sergeant David Howard said: “We are currently investigating how the man sustained these injuries and whether they were the result of an assault.

"I would ask anyone who was in the area yesterday to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious.”

Anyone who can help the inquiry should call 101.
