A refurbished Cumbrian hotel has gone up for sale.
The owners of Appleby's Midland Hotel are selling up because of ill health.
Clive and Amie Bissland bought what was then purely a pub in 2010, and closed the business for a comprehensive refurbishment.
The work included a new roof, re-wiring, plumbing and redecoration.
They added two letting bedrooms in 2011, as well as a kitchen, and three further bedrooms in 2012.
Mrs Bissland said: “Due to unexpected health problems we have decided to move on.
"We are really pleased with what we have achieved here and think new owners could take turnover further, increasing opening hours and promoting the rooms more to the tourist trade.”
The Midland won the Campaign for Real Ale's 'branch pub of the year' for Westmorland in 2013 and 2014.
It takes it name from the Midland Railway, which built the famous Settle to Carlisle line, and is situated next to Appleby railway station.
The leisure property specialist Fleurets is handling the sale. The guide price is £425,000.
