Cumbrian entrepreneurs are being given the chance to compete for a share of £2,000 to invest in their business.
Cockermouth based Fusion Go, which runs a business accelerator programme, is staging a Dragon’s Den type event.
Entrants will pitch their business ideas to a panel which includes Heather Waters of NatWest, George Cloutson, of Arnia and Steven Parker, of Digital Allies, on April 28.
David Jones, founder of Fusion Go, said: “This is the second awards event we have run.
"The cash prizes are an excellent way of boosting some of our most promising businesses and accelerating their growth, and the events also provide valuable networking opportunities and pitching practice.
“Entrepreneurs need to be able to explain their business briefly and concisely.
"They never know when they might meet a potential investor, client or partner. That’s why we drill our Fusion Go Climber businesses to ensure that they are clear on their goals and able to pitch their ideas.”
