Bumper bonus for staff at Cumbrian Asda store
Last updated at 12:03, Wednesday, 27 February 2013
Staff at Workington’s Asda store have received a superbonus after being named one of the firm’s top performers in the north west.
The payout saw full-time staff paid up to £437.50 after exceeding their annual target. It trumps the £255.15 received by full-time colleagues at another Asda store in the north west.
The money came from a £1.3m bonus pot.
Alison Hanford, manager, said: “I’m delighted we’ve been recognised by the wider business for our colleagues’ hard work and great customer service, which has been evident to me since I arrived at the store.”
Hayley Tatum, executive people director, said: “Our store and depot colleagues are the real heroes of our business and I’m delighted that we are able to reward their efforts in this way.
“Whether it’s been through customer service in our stores, helping our customers use the Asda Price Guarantee or making sure our that deliveries are on time, every time they have done an amazing job for our customers, day in day out.
“I am incredibly grateful to them for their efforts.”
