Anger over parking charge plan at Cumbrian beaty spot

Visitors to a popular Cumbrian beauty spot have branded plans to double the parking charge “savage” and “unnecessary”.
The price hike for Talkin Tarn car park near Brampton is one of several city council proposals to help it slash £2.57m from the budget and safeguard jobs.
It now costs £1 to park all day but if the proposals are agreed it would cost £2.
