Young fans got the chance to brush shoulders with some of their heroes at a Carlisle United fun day.

On a day of Easter fun during the half-term break, the Blues supporters were given a chance to tour Brunton Park, before a signing session with the players in the new sponsors lounge.

Supporters then got the chance to watch Carlisle United's players - as well as manager Keith Curle - in action as the players took part in a training session at the end of the day, yesterday.

Carlisle United midfielder Jason Kennedy said: "It is great to come down and see the fans who support us throughout the season.

"You get to meet them, see what they have to say - and it is brilliant for the kids. The kids idolise us, so it is a pleasure to meet them, really."

Kennedy added: "Everyone has been very positive. The fans want us to do well.

"It is great to come out and see them because you want to put smiles on their faces.

"They will come and watch us perform, hopefully, they can help us turn around the run we are on at the minute."

Olga the Fox, the club mascot, was also on hand at Brunton Park to greet the fans, with games on offer at Brunton Park alongside Easter eggs.
