DALSTON Show was a veritable treasure of activities for young and old alike.
From the minute the gates opened families were transported into a day of wonder and excitement.
Squeals of delight could be heard from every corner of the sunk-kissed showfield. It was a non-stop whirl of fun and frivolity.
A piano-playing nun scuttled here and there, blessing everyone in sight while snatches of 'Hallelujah' floated from the black-and-white keys, while over in another part of the showfield Judy knocked three bells out of punch.
This was the kind of entertainment that Dalston was famous for.
"We know our visitors come here for the traditional entertainment we put on," said show secretary, Nick Utting.
