A teenage girl has died in hospital following an incident in Carlisle.
Police were called to a property in the Warwick Road area at lunchtime yesterday.
A teenager was taken by ambulance to the city's Cumberland Infirmary, where she later died.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
A Cumbria police spokesman said: "Police were called at 12.19pm to reports of concern for the welfare of a teenage female.
"The girl was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary, where she later died.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious.
"The coroner has been informed."
A witness said at one stage there were two ambulances and six police vehicles at the scene.
