A teacher has been told a jail term is "inevitable" after he was convicted of repeatedly groping a girl.
David Harrison, 26, was unanimously found guilty by a jury this afternoon of four sex assaults.
This followed a week-long trial at Carlisle Crown Court.
Jurors had heard evidence from the girl, who told how Harrison would put his hands down the front of her top and rub her chest.
She said this happened on several different occasions.
It also emerged during the trial that Harrison had also browsed "real life" child sex abuse stories on his laptop.
Harrison, of Friars Garth, Abbeytown, maintained his innocence throughout the court case.
Dressed in a dark suit, blue shirt and striped tie in the dock today, he showed no emotion as guilty verdicts were announced by the jury foreman.
Judge Peter Hughes QC adjourned the case and announced he would pass sentence next week.
Harrison was remanded in custody and told by the judge: "The sentence will inevitably be a custodial sentence.
"I will consider what the appropriate length of the sentence is on Tuesday of next week."
