Police are investigating a fatal dog attack on sheep in West Cumbria.
Two sheep were attacked on Dent Fell, Cleator Moor, late on June 28.
Both sheep, which had lambs, were badly injured and had to be put down.
A police spokesman said their lambs may now struggle to survive.
Anyone with information is asked to call PC 2101 Mackenzie on 101, email 101@cumbria.police.uk or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Police are reminding people to keep control of their dogs near animals and that they may be guilty of a criminal offence if their dogs worry livestock.
