Runners swarmed around a popular pub near Penrith this morning to take part in the third annual Stoneybeck 10K.
Around 170 people registered to take part in the Eden Runners event, which sets off a short distance from the Stoneybeck Inn off the A6.
The 6.2-mile race was sponsored by local firm Traybakers, supplying all finishers with cakes and snacks.
First home over the finishing line was Border Harrier James Douglas, 32, of Penrith, in an unofficial time of 32.09.
The Carlisle-based Border Harriers club ended up taking the first three spots in the race, with John Mason from nearby Calthwaite and Bob Hodgson from Carlisle romping home in second and third place respectively.
Jonny French, of Penrith, was the first runner to complete the course from organising club Eden Runners. He was fourth overall.
Local clubs with runners taking part included DH Runners, Carlisle Tri Club, Derwent AC and Cumberland AC.
