Police are investigating a transphobic hate incident near a north Cumbrian primary school.
Officers say a woman - in her twenties - was verbally abused and threatened about 6pm on Friday near Longtown Primary School.
The abuse put the woman in fear of her safety.
The group of males who are suspected of carrying out the offence were sat in the shelter outside of the school.
They are described as white, in their late teens to early twenties with short brown hair and around 5ft 8ins tall.
One is described as wearing a light grey hooded top.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information by calling 101.
