Two police officers had a lucky escape, after crashing their car.
The pair were in a marked Cumbria Police vehicle when the incident happened on the M6, at about 12.05am yesterday.
The driver was responding to an emergency when he lost control on the icy road, flipping the car.
A spokesman for the force told the News & Star : "A Cumbria Police vehicle was involved in a one vehicle road traffic collision yesterday on the M6 near Wreay.
"The collision was reported at 12.04am, where a vehicle responding to an incident elsewhere in the county skidded on ice causing the vehicle to roll several times."
He added: "Two male officers were in the vehicle at the time and both were taken to the Cumberland Infirmary, in Carlisle, with minor injuries."
