A man has appeared at Carlisle Crown Court to face a string of sex assault allegations, including one alleged rape.
Robert Daniel Long, 20, entered not guilty pleas to five charges which were put to him during a hearing before Judge Barbara Forrester.
Long denied the alleged rape of one teenage girl.
He also pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child, and also two allegations of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Long, of Springfields, Wigton, listened to proceedings from the dock.
He was told a trial date had been listed for January 30 - and that a further hearing would be held at the crown court next month.
In the meantime Long was remanded in custody by Judge Forrester.
