A man has admitted insulting a woman and making threats during a phone call.
Gary Walsh, 31, faced three charges when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court via a video link from custody.
Walsh pleaded guilty to sending a malicious communication to Rebecca Poole.
This, the court heard, was a telephone call in which he insulted her and threatened others.
The offence is said to have been committed on May 29.
Walsh also admitted charges of possessing cannabis on that date and, the following day, damaging a phone belonging to Cumbria police.
Judge Barbara Forrester, who heard Walsh had a "history of mental health problems", adjourned his case.
Background information will be prepared, and Walsh, of South Street, Fletchertown, was told he is due to be sentenced at the crown court on July 27.
He was remanded in custody.
