Two men have admitted being involved in the knifepoint robbery of a delivery driver.

Jason Pattinson, 30, and Damon Noble, 31, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today in connection with an incident outside the Co-op store at Station Road, Wigton. This is said to have happened in the early hours of June 8.

Both Pattinson and Noble pleaded guilty to robbing the delivery driver of a sports bag and contents. The two men also each admitted the possession of a kitchen knife in Station Road.

They entered their pleas over a video link while sitting side-by-side in custody.

Judge Peter Davies adjourned the case and concluded that pre-sentence reports were not necessary.

Noble, of Meadow Road, and Pattinson, previously of Water Street, both Wigton, were told they will receive their punishments on Thursday.

In the meantime they were remanded in custody by Judge Davies.
