A man has appeared at Carlisle Crown Court and pleaded guilty to committing a knife crime within the same building.

Benjamin Connor, 41, admitted one charge during a brief hearing in front of Judge Peter Davies.

This was having an article with a blade or point – namely a lock knife – in a public place. The offence was said to have been committed on April 7.

No details about the incident were outlined in open court.

Judge Davies adjourned the case until June 29, when Connor, of Lindisfarne Street, Carlisle, is due to be sentenced. He was remanded on unconditional bail.
