Carlisle fire crew called to release child stuck in gate


Firefighters were called out to help release a child that had got stuck in a gate.

Officers from Carlisle's western station were sent to Ashley Street, off Wigton Road, shortly after 11am today.

The crew used spreaders to help get the boy out of the wooden gate.

An ambulance was called as a precaution but it is not believed he was hurt.

In American and Canadian English, the past participle of the verb get is usually gotten. This is not the case in British English.
