Emergency services were called to a crash on a busy north Cumbrian road.
Police were called at about 7pm yesterday to a two-vehicle crash on the B5305 near Hutton-in-the-Forest.
The passenger in one vehicle is believed to have suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision, with the two drivers unharmed.
An eyewitness who was present at the time of the crash is reported to have seen a cage of puppies being transported in one of the cars.
Police and ambulance crews were at the scene, with recovery crews called to clear the damaged vehicle.
Cumbria Police confirmed the disruption continued until at least 8.30pm.
