Firefighters were called out to blaze which started in a set of public toilets.
The crews from Carlisle East and Brampton stations were were sent to the scene about 4.30pm yesterday.
The fire had started in men's public toilets in a block of flats in Showfield, Brampton.
Using breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a main jet the crews put out the fire which was in a toilet.
Crews were there for 15 minutes.
