A CARLISLE family has said that they are 'excited' ahead of hosting their latest indoor table top sale.

Claire Hodgson and David Woakes, alongside their three children, are preparing to hold their latest indoor tabletop sale which will see people from across the city come together to sell their wares.

This sale is due to take place on Saturday, May 11 at St James' Church in Denton Holme, with the event due to start at 1 pm

This will be the family's third sales event following their successful debut in November 2023, which had around 20 sellers in attendance, and their latest event which was held in March.

Ahead of the tabletop sale's return, Claire explained how this event will be the biggest yet and see her children get involved with their own stall.

She said: "We have had to turn people away because we are full this time and we are really excited to see what it will be like. We are going to have 28 sellers at this event.

"When we told our kids that they could have their own stall they went around their bedrooms collecting things that they wanted to sell and they are really excited too.

"It's really nice that the kids are getting involved because it is really good learning for them with money and socialising."

Speaking previously, Claire had also discussed why her family had wanted to create a regular indoor sales event in Carlisle.

She said: "We like going to charity shops and car boot sales but we seemed to be going further afield as there is only really Hexham and Dumfries that have got really big ones.

"We saw people from Carlisle at these and thought: 'Why don't we try to do a couple and see where it goes from there?

"Everyone loves a bargain."
