THE Labour Party are set to win all of the seats in Cumbria according to the latest set of polling data.
Labour have moved ahead of the Conservative Party in the polls over the course of the last two years and are on track for a substantial majority in the commons if a general election were held today according to online analyst ‘Election Maps UK’.
The latest projections would see Labour win the new seats of Carlisle, Penrith and the Solway and Whitehaven and Workington following boundary changes in Cumbria.

The party are on a high in Cumbria after winning the police, fire and crime commissioner election last week.

Labour won the election with 38,708 votes, with the Tories coming second on 24,863 which represented a 22 per cent swing to Labour – more than enough to confirm what the polls are suggesting will happen.
If Labour maintain their lead it will transform the parliamentary political scenery in Cumbria.
Rishi Sunak must hold a general election before the end of January 2025.
