FREE health drops in are being held in Whitehaven covering a range of support topics.

The events will take place at the Senhouse Centre in Whitehaven from 10am until 1pm. The days are:

  • May 7 -Menopause
  • May 21 -Diabetes/Cholesterol
  • June 4 -Smoking/Vaping
  • June 18 - Sexual Health
  • July 2 - Cancer Support
  • July 16 - Healthy Eating

The drop ins will include a free health check and a pharmacist will be on hand for advice at each session, there will also be free refreshments provided.

The events are being held in partnership with Whitehaven Community Trust, Cumberland Council, Copeland Wellness Service, Cumbria Health, UCLan and Whitehaven Health LTD.

Kerry Maxwell, Whitehaven Community Trust CEO said: "Whitehaven Community Trust, received some funding from Cumberland Social Prescribing . Together, we worked hard to get these health drop in clinics off the ground.

"Thank you to all our other partners for getting involved.  The aim is to use this as a pilot project with the hope that this becomes a regular service at the Senhouse Centre. 

"As we all know, it's difficult to get a GP appointment so come along for a free health check, a cuppa and a chat about the different topics listed."
