A LORRY fire on the M6 has caused a partial closure of the road.
National Highways - North West reports that the incident took place on the M6 Southbound between J40 and J39 near Penrith and Shap.
Two lanes of three are closed due to a lorry fire.
There are reported to be delays of just under 45 minutes on approach, with four miles of congestion. Recovery of the lorry is now taking place.
