A CUMBRIAN music duo, who began as a 'gap in the market' but became a husband and wife, are celebrating their tenth anniversary in the business.

Natalie and Johnny Morton began performing as High Dynamics back in 2014.

Their music has proved to be popular as they now perform at venues across the county, as well as at weddings and other events.

Last year the pair tied the knot themselves and they explained that music is a shared passion for them.

Mrs Morton said: "Ultimately we're a pop party duo, but we cover a mix of genres like pop, rock, country, and Motown. Johnny plays electric guitar and saxophone and we both sing.

"We didn't know each other and then met through mutual friends who had a music background, and from that we decided to form a party duo, just Johnny and me.

"We'd both been in other acts previously and had been a part of the music industry. We both had the experience and thought that there was a gap in the market for a boy/girl duo."

The couple will be celebrating ten years of their music at Club Brittania in Carlisle on May 4

This will also be their first anniversary as a married couple.

Mrs Morton continued: "It originally started as a hobby and something enjoyable and now it's our career... we've just gone from strength to strength.

"We've had a lot of opportunities and have branched out into the wedding industry, which makes up a lot of our work now.

"We've travelled with our music and sung on cruise ships in 2019 in America. When we were out there Covid struck, and we were stuck out there, which was reported on in the local press

"We feel fortunate and grateful for all the support that we've had from local people and those further away.

"We've had the most incredible ten years together and we're excited to see what the next chapter brings for High Dynamics.

"Now we're looking forward to a busy summer of weddings, parties, and fun!

"We just love every minute of it because it's our dream job, music is our shared interest."
