A band that is perhaps one of the most successful Scottish musical exports in recent times is heading to Carlisle.

Glasvegas will rock The Brickyard this autumn on November 2, showcasing the unique sound that made them famous.

Consisting of James Allan (vocals), Rab Allan (lead guitar), and Paul Donoghue (bass guitar), Glasvegas is a band that has never compromised, never conformed, and commanded respect from peers and critics alike.

2008 marked the release of the band’s self-titled platinum-selling debut album which reached number two in the album charts, and sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.

Receiving widespread critical acclaim, their debut was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2009.

Their sophomore ‘Euphoric///Heartbreak\\\’ was released on April 4, 2011, reaching the top 10 in the UK and number one in Sweden.

September 2013’s ‘Later…When the TV Turns to Static’ became Glasvegas’ third studio album.

Their fourth album ‘Godspeed’ was released on April 2, 2021, written, recorded, produced, and engineered by James himself.

It was recorded in their native Glasgow, as well as Stockholm, New York City, and Los Angeles.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on April 19 on thebrickyardonline.com.
