Brass Inc., a band that includes individuals with learning disabilities and autism, has made its public debut.

The band played for a full room in Penrith's Cafe 4eden while guests enjoyed mocktails at March Music and mocktails.

Funded by My Community-Penrith, the event was part of an initiative to promote inclusivity and determine what those with learning disabilities would like to see in the community.

In a similar vein, the group also hosted a Valentine's Day disco to help foster connections for those with learning difficulties in February this year.

Julie Hoggarth, from Drum and Bass, united brass groups from Penrith Brass, Kirby Stephen silver band, Eden Brass, and Brass Inc. for the event.

Performances on the day included classics from hit films as well as the likes of Queen, We Will Rock You.

Brass Inc. usually meets on Thursdays in Penrith's Blue Jam Arts space from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

Brass Inc. not only provides music, but also offers a chance for a diverse range of individuals to collaborate and create together.
