A Cumbrian business is set to open its third clinic in the county later this year.

Cockermouth Chiropody/Podiatry, which currently has clinics in Cockermouth and Keswick, has confirmed that it will open its third space in the next few months.

The business offers a range of treatments, all designed to alleviate and improve foot health.

After enjoying success at its first two clinics, owner Adele Holmes will now open a new two-room clinic in Cockermouth at Derwent House, Wakefield Road.

On Facebook, the business posted: "We have been given the opportunity, by SN Aesthetic Solutions, to open another podiatry clinic with two clinic rooms, a waiting area and separate reception area from the ground floor at Derwent House.

"We can’t thank SN Aesthetic Solutions enough for this opportunity.

"There’s lots of work to be done and quite a bit of forward planning, but we’re hoping to open the new practice May/June 2024.

"We just need more young people to see how amazing a career in podiatry can be. Especially in Cumbria.

"We have an aging population and the podiatric workforce is in crisis… HCPC Podiatrists are a small, vital, medical profession and many of them are of an age to retire in the next few years… more limb threatening complications and less podiatrists is not a good combination."
