A series of sessions on how to safely use motorbikes will be held in Cumbria.

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) said, in partnership with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), Cumbria Constabulary, and Beep Doctors, the sessions – as part of the new Cumbria Ride Safe programme – will cover advanced riding, first aid, and scene safety at a collision.

A delegate from RoSPA will then take each participant on a ride to see their capability and suggest improvements on safer riding.

The sessions will be run from 10am to 4pm and will be held:

  • On April 28 at Penrith Fire Station.
  • On May 12 at Ulverston Blue Light Hub.
  • On May 19 at Penrith Fire Station.
  • On May 30 at Ulverston Blue Light Hub.
