A Cumbrian charity has launched a new partnership with Carlisle United Football Club.

The Blues have been loyal supporters of Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland for over 15 years and this year the charity has launched a new and exciting partnership with the Blues Lotto.

Launched in 2005, not only has the Blues Lotto seen thousands of lucky winners, they have also supported youth and ground development at Carlisle United, local community projects as well as supporting local charities.

Volunteers from Hospice at Home were at Brunton Park collecting donations during the Easter Monday defeat to Lincoln City.

Corporate fundraiser for Hospice at Home Kylie Palmer said: "We are really excited to be partnering with Carlisle United Blues Lotto. To have our home team support at home care is incredible. Every person who signs up for the Blues lotto in aid of Hospice at Home will be helping to ensure free care and support to patients and families in their own home is available when needed.

"Carlisle United know they wouldn’t be where they are without their army of loyal supporters and for us this statement is exactly the same. Without the kindness and dedication of our local communities we simply would not be able to provide the vital care and support we do."

For just £1 you can purchase 10 lucky numbers for a weekly draw giving you the chance to win cash prizes of nearly £60,000.

Lotto manager Ewan Wood said: "I’m delighted the Blues Lotto is partnering with Hospice at Home. The work carried out by their staff and volunteers in our local community is truly amazing and wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of their loyal supporters. Being able to contribute to the vital fundraising that the charity needs via the Blues Lotto embodies the commitment that Carlisle United has to their community and home support."

Anyone wishing to join the Blue Lotto can now do so in aid of Hospice at Home by completing a unique application form, which can be downloaded online or collected in retail stores in Carlisle, Penrith, Brampton, Wigton or Keswick.
