WHITEHAVEN Coastguard rescue were tasked with a rope rescue following an incident this week.
The incident which occurred on the coast south of Workington, happened yesterday on March 28, and the team were tasked with using their rope rescue capability in the first call-out of the day.
The rescue involved teams from Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team, Cumbria Police, North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust and Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team.
The incident was swiftly brought to a safe conclusion.
