An adventurous party of five sparked alarm near High Pike during an 'excursion' at around 4am.
On March 5, a member of the group, possibly injured and having an asthma or panic attack, dialled 999 for an ambulance.
They were discovered walking along the road by Keswick Mountain Rescue Team members who, after contacting control, decided no further rescue team or North West Ambulance Service involvement was needed.
A spokesperson from Keswick MRT said: "At some point during their character-building descent, one of the party was possibly injured and maybe had an asthma/panic attack (the details of which are vague at best) and they dialled 999 requesting an ambulance.
"A lift to Keswick Booths bus stop was provided for onward transport home (along with some ‘words of advice’) and the relevant authorities were informed."
The incident involved 11 team members and lasted 1 hour and 26 minutes.
