Penrith will host Hans 'No Way' Rey, the former world champion mountain biker, this spring.

Following sell-out shows in 2017 and 2019, he is touring the UK with 'MTB Mishaps & Mayhem', taking stage at 16 venues nationwide.

Hans, who is recognised for popularising mountain biking from a niche activity to a cherished sport, was named a major inspiration by names like Danny MacAskill and Martyn Ashton.

His stunts combined with his passion for the sport have made him one of the most notable figures in mountain biking.

His performance at the 1996 Olympics Closing Ceremony was viewed by 3.5 billion people worldwide.

After retiring from competing in 1997, Hans formed the 'Hans Rey Adventure Team' and pursued various mountain biking adventures, including a bike descent of Mount Kenya.

Throughout his 30-year career in mountain biking, Hans amassed a myriad of behind-the-scenes stories and experiences, the likes of which he will share during his forthcoming show.

In MTB Mishaps & Mayhem, viewers will be privy to sights and stories from Hans' ventures across Botswana, Mexico, and Hong Kong among others.

The Penrith show will be on Sunday, March 24, at Rheged.
