News and Star readers have been sending in their pictures as the first signs of spring begin to show across Cumbria. 

Whilst spring doesn't officially begin until Tuesday, March 19, the first inklings of new growth have begun to sprout. 

News and Star camera club member, Paul Grindley sent in some lovely photos of the first flowers of spring at Brampton's Old Church Yard.
