This year’s Cumbria Pride event will kick off with a march through the city centre this weekend.
Pride, which is a global cultural event to celebrate and commemorate efforts to secure equality for the LGBTQ+ community, will take place in Cumbria on Saturday, September 23, at Caldew Riverside Car Park in Carlisle.
The event will begin, however, with a march from the city centre.
People are invited to meet from 11am outside the town hall to march to the event, in a walk estimated to take 10 minutes.
The event will happen at 12pm till 6pm, for free, and will be followed by an official after party at Walkabout from 6:30pm.
The Pride event is for all ages, but the after-party is for over 18’s only.
