Carlisle bare-knuckle boxer Danny Christie has again moved up the world rankings.

He is now ranked number two in the BKFC light-heavyweight division in the list of contenders to champion Lorenzo Hunt.

Christie is the British champion and is hoping to have a crack at USA star Hunt.

In the meantime the Currock fighter will take on a different American opponent in the autumn.

Christie is now behind only Florida’s David Mundell in the rankings of those chasing Hunt’s crown.

He is ranked above other highly-rated fighters including Isaac Doolittle, Mike Richman and Jared Warren.

Christie won the UK light-heavyweight title by beating Anthony Holmes in Leeds in April.

The 38-year-old Cumbrian recently revealed he is in line for his fourth BKFC fight at Milton Keynes.

The identity of his opponent is yet to be confirmed.

BKFC 52 Milton Keynes is being staged at the Milton Keynes Ice Arena on September 30.

Christie recently signed a new multi-fight deal with BKFC after his impressive start on the major bare-knuckle scene.

He defeated Terry Brazier and Darren Godfrey before claiming the title with victory over former world champion Holmes.
