Appleby Horse Fair organisers have put out a warning to road users ahead of the upcoming event.
The group has explained on their social media page that there might be more traffic on the roads in the build-up to the fair.
A spokesperson said on Twitter: "Expect to see slow-moving vehicles on the county's roads in the coming weeks as we approach Appleby Horse Fair 2023.
"Please take extra care so that everyone reaches their destination safely."
The fair is a popular event held in Appleby-in-Westmorland and is well attended by those in the gypsy and traveler communities.
