Emergency services were called to a man having a medical episode in a town centre at the weekend.
Police and the ambulance service attended the incident at the Waverley Hotel on Tangier Street in Whitehaven on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said they were called to a private address on Tangier Street at 4.40pm on Saturday.
An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were called to the scene.
The ambulance service could not provide any information on the condition of the patient.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said officers attended at 4.40pm after a man suffered a medical episode.
Police were first on the scene so remained with the patient until paramedics arrived and then left with them.
