Cumbria Roads Police have reminded motorists that registration plates need to be spaced legally.
A number of drivers have been stopped and reported for illegal number plates on the M6 this morning.
In a tweet they said: "Registration plates need to be spaced legally.
"Rearranging them to form names or words can earn you a fine and see DVLA withdrawing the plate.
"Couple of drivers stopped and reporting this morning."
